Cotton, Shoffner on Iran, Ukraine, America 250

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton and his Democratic challenger, Hallie Shoffner, recently spoke about the war in Iran and its impact on the United States. When asked if the war was taking longer than expected, Senator Cotton replied that the war hasn’t taken that long, considering the successful ceasefire and the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Senator Cotton stated, ‘We have essentially sank their navy, we’ve destroyed their air force, we’ve severely degraded their missiles, the missile launchers, their drones, their manufacturing capabilities to replenish those stockpiles.’ He emphasized the importance of finishing the job and keeping the blockade in place to ensure the safety of the American people.

Hallie Shoffner, on the other hand, expressed concerns about the prolonged war, citing the pressure it’s putting on the people of Arkansas, particularly farmers who are struggling with high gas prices. She emphasized the need to find a solution quickly, given the state’s rural nature and the upcoming summer travel season.
