The Back Nine Golf, a membership-based indoor golf training facility, is set to open in Richardson, Texas. The facility will be located in a 17.4-acre shopping center on Coit Road and will offer simulator technology and training sessions to its members.
Facility Details
The Back Nine Golf has 200 locations across the country, including spots in Plano, Allen, and McKinney. The Richardson location will be open to members 24/7, with four simulator bays that members can reserve in advance. The simulator bays will be equipped with ‘Full Swing’ technology that simulates a realistic round of golf by allowing players to hit the ball into a large projector screen. Sensors will provide instant feedback on swing speed, ball speed, and launch angles.
Members will also be able to book lessons with a trainer, and The Back Nine plans to host tournaments, youth camps, and private events, said owner Anders Hultman. ‘I would have very much appreciated that when I was growing up, to get instant feedback and data on each shot and know why and how the ball reacted the way that it did,’ said Hultman, who is also a former professional golfer. ‘And it’s an affordable option for residents that don’t necessarily have the funds to join a country club.’
