Pirates Stun Dodgers in Comeback Win

The Pittsburgh Pirates pulled off a stunning comeback victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning 9-8 at PNC Park on Wednesday night. The Pirates were down 6-1 heading into the seventh inning but erupted for eight unanswered runs over the final three innings.

Callihan Leads the Charge

Tyler Callihan was the spark that ignited the Pirates’ comeback, going two-for-four with two home runs and four RBIs. He scored three times and drew two walks, with both home runs coming in the critical seventh and eighth inning rallies.

Brandon Lowe added a two-RBI double, Spencer Horwitz homered and drove in two, and Jake Mangum went three-for-four. The Dodgers’ bullpen was unable to hold the lead, with Kyle Hurt being charged with four runs without recording an out in the eighth.

Evan Sisk earned the win, and Gregory Soto nailed down the save despite a shaky ninth inning. The rubber match is set for tonight at PNC Park, with the first pitch at 6:40pm EDT.
