Oklahoma’s primary election is set for Tuesday, with nine Republican candidates competing in the race for governor, alongside other key positions such as attorney general, treasurer, and state superintendent.
Top Candidates Lead in Polls and Fundraising
Recent polling shows Mike Mazzei leading the GOP race with 26%, followed by current Attorney General Gentner Drummond at 21%. Former state Sen. Jake Merrick and Chip Keating are tied at 12%, while former House Speaker Charles McCall rounds out the top five.
Mazzei, who recently received former President Donald Trump’s endorsement, has raised $11.5 million between April 1 and June 1, with over $10 million coming from personal loans to his campaign. His campaign has spent $10.8 million during this period.
Drummond’s campaign has raised just over $7.1 million, including $2.5 million in personal loans, and spent $6.8 million. Merrick, polling at 12%, has raised a little more than $82,000, with $2,500 coming from a personal loan, and spent almost $80,000.
Keating, also polling at 12%, has raised $5.3 million, with $3.5 million from personal funds, and spent $5.2 million. McCall has contributed more than $5.6 million to his campaign, bringing his total raised to $7.3 million. His campaign has spent more than $6.5 million.
