Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest will debut at the Waterfront Commons in downtown West Palm Beach this weekend, featuring top country artists and boosting the local economy.
Festival Details
The event is being organized in collaboration with SunFest and local county agencies to create a full experience for attendees. Milton Segarra, president and CEO of Discover the Palm Beaches, explained how West Palm Beach was chosen.
The festival will feature performances by country music stars, including Ella Langley, Old Dominion, and Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. Organizers also highlighted an intimate opportunity for fans to hear from songwriters behind the hits.
Temple Ricke from the 5 O’Clock Somewhere marketing team described the location as a natural fit for the event, saying, ‘We’ve kind of described this as a perfect day for parrot heads, which is those who follow and support Alan Jackson. So, you have the beach, you have the sun, you have the music.’
Economic Impact
Organizers expect 10,000 to 15,000 ticket holders each day, which is anticipated to have a positive impact on the local economy. ‘Forty-seven percent of our visitors said that events like this one motivate them to visit the Palm Beaches,’ Segarra said. ‘More than 20 hotels will receive guests, thousands of room nights in the community — shopping, food and beverage activity across the entire weekend.’
