On June 4th, the Arkansas250 Commission unveiled the sixth of eleven historical markers planned for the state. This particular marker is located at the site of the original Walmart store in Rogers, which opened on July 2, 1962. The marker commemorates the local origins of Walmart, a company that has grown to have a significant impact both nationally and globally.

Associates Week in Northwest Arkansas

J.R. Shaw, director of Destination Rogers, highlighted the importance of Associates Week, an event where Walmart and Sam’s Club bring associates from around the world to Northwest Arkansas.
