Franklin, WI – A fresh holiday tradition is set to brighten southeastern Wisconsin this season. FrostFest opens its doors on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Franklin Field in Ballpark Commons, and will run on 23 select dates through Sunday, December 27.
Family‑focused festivities
Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures, says the festival was designed to become a yearly gathering where families and friends can share meaningful moments. “Our vision was to create a place where people can spend quality time together while enjoying the sights, sounds, and traditions of the holiday season,” he explained.
General admission includes holiday light displays, live music on select evenings, Santa and other holiday character experiences, interactive photo spots, a food and beverage village, a holiday marketplace and festive décor throughout the field. No separate concert ticket is required, and bands such as Bella Cain, Cherry Pie and Rebel Grace are slated to perform.
Additional attractions
Visitors can purchase tickets for snow tubing, ice skating with rental skates, carnival rides, carnival games and a Christmas‑tree maze where guests help Jack Frost and his snowman friend Puddle locate a missing carrot nose. The maze admission includes a souvenir scarf.
Food options feature hot chocolate, coffee, seasonal treats, festive beverages and a giant ice bar under a tent. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.
Ticketing and hours
All tickets are digital and sold through FrostFestWI.com, each with an arrival window that determines entry time. Organizers advise buying ahead, as popular dates may sell out, and note that sales are final unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Hours vary by date: Saturdays, Sundays and the Christmas‑week dates open at 11 a.m.; most Thursday and Friday dates open at 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve operates daytime only, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the festival is closed on Christmas Day. Visitors should check the operating calendar on the FrostFest website for exact times.
Community partnership
Dan Kuenzi, President of the Milwaukee Milkmen, highlighted Franklin Field’s role as a community hub. “From baseball games and community events to now welcoming families during the holiday season, FrostFest continues our commitment to creating memorable experiences that bring people together,” he said.
Ballpark Commons has a history of hosting large holiday events, including Enchant Christmas and SnowGlobe Holiday Festival. FrostFest builds on that legacy with a new format intended to return each year, drawing guests from across Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Group options
Groups of 15 or more receive reserved arrival windows, complimentary hot cocoa, a dedicated gathering area and discounted admission: $2 off per ticket for 15‑24 guests, $3 off for 25‑49, and $5 off for 50 or more. Optional catering packages are also available, making the festival suitable for businesses, schools, churches, youth groups, sports teams, scout troops, neighborhood associations and other community organizations.
