The incident occurred at 12:26 a.m. in the 5100 block of South Wood Street, where two men approached a group standing outside and opened fire, according to police reports.
The victims included a man who was shot in the head, chest, and leg, and another man who was shot in the abdomen. Both were transported to local hospitals but were later pronounced dead. Among the five wounded was a woman in critical condition.
