Klipsch, a proud Indianapolis‑based audio manufacturer, is opening its north‑west side headquarters to the public for the first time ever. The company will host a two‑day celebration, “Klipsch Fest,” on Friday and Saturday to mark its 80th anniversary.
Event highlights
Visitors will be able to explore dedicated listening rooms, watch live demonstrations of the brand’s latest technology, and enjoy food trucks and live entertainment. Country music artist Clayton Anderson is slated to perform on Friday in the company’s back parking lot.
One of the centerpiece attractions is a museum‑style display that will showcase the very first Klipsch loudspeaker, invented by founder Paul W. Klipsch and patented eight decades ago. The historic speaker will be demonstrated with its original soundtrack, giving attendees a chance to hear the sound that started a legacy.
Product showcase
During an interview, Matt Sommers, global creative director for Premium Audio Co., the parent of Klipsch and Onkyo, highlighted several flagship products. He demonstrated the Reference Premiere speakers, known for their black‑and‑copper design and horn‑loaded technology, and unveiled a limited‑edition Bluetooth speaker created in partnership with the film “The Odyssey.” The new Stratus headphones were also featured.
Klipsch’s lineup spans headphones, Bluetooth speakers, sound bars, home‑theater systems, high‑fidelity speakers and cinema‑screen systems. The company’s audio technology is also integrated into a variety of vehicles and recreational products, including the Infiniti QX80, Ram Tungsten, Airstream trailers and Keystone RVs. A partnership with La‑Z‑Boy brings Klipsch sound into the headrests of select recliners.
Community connection
For more than 25 years, the Indianapolis headquarters has served as a hub for product design and engineering. By opening its doors, Klipsch is sharing its rich heritage with the local community that helped shape the brand. The event underscores the company’s commitment to Indianapolis, a city that has been home to the business since its founding in 1946.
Klipsch Fest offers a unique opportunity for residents to experience premium sound firsthand, learn about the company’s evolution, and celebrate eight decades of audio innovation. More information about the event, including schedules and parking details, can be found on the company’s official website.
