Celebrate National Doughnut Day 2026 with Free Treats Across the U.S.

National Doughnut Day, celebrated on the first Friday of June, falls on June 5 this year. This annual event, which began in Chicago in 1938, commemorates the efforts of the Salvation Army’s Donut Lassies, who served doughnuts to soldiers in France during World War I. Today, doughnut lovers across the United States can enjoy a variety of deals and freebies from popular chains.
