Sheridan Memorial Hospital is calling on the creativity of Sheridan County’s youngest artists. All third, fourth and fifth‑grade students – as well as children of hospital staff who may live outside the county – are welcome to enter the 2026 Christmas card art contest.
How to enter
Participants must create an original, color artwork that follows the contest’s theme, “Bighorn Mountain Christmas.” The piece should fit within the template provided on page two of the entry form and must not be folded. Acceptable media include markers, crayons, paint or any other traditional art supplies; digital or mechanically generated images are not allowed.
Each entry must include the child’s name printed neatly on the back of the artwork – the name should not appear on the front. A completed entry form, signed by a parent or guardian, must accompany the submission. Only one entry per child is permitted.
Submission deadline and location
All entries must be received by Friday, November 13, 2026. Completed forms and artwork can be dropped off at the hospital’s main entrance, 1401 West Fifth Street, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, or mailed to the same address.
Judging and prize
A committee appointed by the hospital will review all submissions. The overall winner’s design will be featured on Sheridan Memorial Hospital’s 2026 Christmas card, which will be mailed to patients, staff and community partners in December. In addition to the honor of having their artwork displayed, the winning student will receive a $50 cash prize.
Hospital’s perspective
“The annual Christmas card art contest is such a fun way to engage with our community and celebrate what makes Sheridan County special,” said Kristen Czaban, Director of Marketing and Communications for Sheridan Memorial Hospital. “We enjoy seeing the creativity of local students each year and can’t wait to see what they come up with for this year’s theme.”
Why it matters
Beyond providing a festive holiday greeting, the contest reinforces the hospital’s commitment to community involvement and supports the artistic development of young residents. By showcasing student talent on a widely distributed card, the hospital highlights the importance of family, faith and local pride – core values that strengthen the fabric of Sheridan County.
