The West Alabama Food & Wine Festival, a cherished local event since 2012, has once again made a significant impact on the community by donating $76,000 to local nonprofits. This year, the festival provided $38,000 each to Table of Grace and the Humane Society of West Alabama, furthering its mission to support charitable organizations in the region.
Amy Martin, Executive Director of the festival, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “Seeing these donations returned to our community is the most rewarding part of what we do. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and volunteer hour given helps create a lasting impact for local organizations.”
Since its inception, the festival has contributed a total of $356,000 to local nonprofits, demonstrating a strong commitment to the community. The festival operates a beneficiary program that provides selected nonprofits with funding for two consecutive years, allowing for sustained support. The 2026 festival marked the second and final year of funding for the Humane Society of West Alabama and the first of two years for Table of Grace food pantry.
Looking ahead, the festival is preparing for its next charitable partnership, with applications for the 2027–2029 beneficiary partnership opening on September 1, 2026. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving West Alabama are encouraged to apply through the festival’s website.
The community is invited to save the date for the 2027 West Alabama Food & Wine Festival, scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2027, in Downtown Northport. This event promises to continue its tradition of celebrating the region’s culinary excellence while giving back to local charities.
