Juneteenth Celebrations Across Central Arkansas in 2026

Central Arkansas is gearing up to celebrate Juneteenth, a significant day in American history that marks the end of slavery in the United States. This year, a variety of events are planned across the region, offering residents numerous opportunities to engage with this important cultural milestone.

Little Rock Events

In Little Rock, the ‘Juneteenth in Da Rock’ celebrations will take place on Historic West 9th Street on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, 2026, at various times. Additionally, the FMTCC Crown & Culture Showcase: The Coronation will be held at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center on Sunday, June 14, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For those interested in history, the Clinton Presidential Library will host a meet-and-greet with authors of ‘Blackville, Arkansas – Fashioned by a Former Slave’ on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:00 p.m. The Juneteenth Gospel Celebration will take place at Philander Smith University on Sunday, June 21, at 3:00 p.m.

Other Central Arkansas Events

In Conway, a Juneteenth celebration will be held at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Saturday, June 13, starting at 10:00 a.m. Pine Bluff will host ‘UAPB’s Juneteenth in the Bluff 2026’ at the Delta Rhythm and Bayous Cultural District on Friday, June 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. In Monticello, the Juneteenth Festival will be held at the Monticello Townsquare on Sunday, June 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Camden will have celebrations on Adams Street, near Carver Courts & Carnes Park, from Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21, at various times.

These events provide a chance for the community to come together and reflect on the progress made since 1865, while also recognizing the ongoing journey toward equality and justice. Residents are encouraged to participate and learn more about this pivotal moment in American history.
