Bradford United Way Allocates Impact Funds to Local Organizations

The United Way of the Bradford Area has announced the recipients of its second quarter Impact Funds, providing crucial support to local organizations dedicated to community service. This funding initiative is part of a quarterly program designed to assist qualifying 501(c)3 organizations in Bradford, Smethport, and Port Allegany.

Supporting Local Initiatives

Among the beneficiaries of this round of funding are several organizations that play a vital role in the community. The A Partnership in Housing’s Work Essentials Program, Meals on Wheels’ Steam Table, and Destinations Bradford’s Gas Cards initiative are just a few of the programs receiving support. Additionally, Emanual Lutheran Church’s Foster Closet, Landmark Society’s Cook Farm School Program, Bradford Library’s Summer Reading Program, Port Allegany Community Service’s Food Pantry, and Church of the Ascension’s Food Pantry Hygiene Items initiative have been awarded funds.

These grants, capped at $1,500 per request, are instrumental in helping these organizations continue their valuable work. The funds are allocated based on the availability and are intended to support projects that align with the United Way’s mission of community betterment.
