Fisherman in Serious Condition After Rescue at Woodstock Dam

A local fisherman is in serious condition after a water rescue at the dam between Witches Woods Lake and Lake Bungee in Woodstock. The incident occurred on Sunday when the man slipped from the rocks near the dam, hitting his head as he fell into the water.

Rescue Efforts

The Bungay Fire Brigade was dispatched to the scene following reports of a water rescue. According to Bungay Fire Chief David Elliott, witnesses observed the fisherman unresponsive in the water. Bystanders quickly intervened, pulling the man from the water. Although he was breathing upon removal, he remained unresponsive and had sustained serious injuries.

Due to the severity of his condition, the fisherman was transported to the hospital by Life Star. He continues to be in serious condition as medical professionals work to stabilize him.
