Chicago – The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews announced that its third annual “Flags of Fellowship” (FOF) campaign has more than doubled participation since last year. Over 4,375 churches, synagogues, universities and other faith‑based organizations in 13 nations will plant a combined total of more than 5.2 million mini Israeli flags from Oct. 2‑11 and throughout the month.
National and International Reach
Ten leading evangelical churches across Tennessee, Illinois, New Jersey, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Virginia will serve as flagship sites, hosting worship services, community gatherings and guest speakers, including local dignitaries and survivors of the Oct. 7 attacks.
Beyond the United States and Canada, the campaign now includes 1,775 participants from 11 additional countries such as Australia, England, Kenya, South Africa, India and the United Arab Emirates. The expansion is driven by a new hub model that equips regional churches with flags and materials. Hubs in Colombia, Mexico and Guatemala alone represent roughly 1,050 churches.
Colombia Leads the Way
In Colombia, about 1,000 churches across eight major cities plan to display more than 1.2 million Israeli flags during October. “Colombia is a nation of faith, and our churches have a deep desire to support Israel and the Jewish people,” said César Fernández, a Fellowship Ambassador Pastor.
Message from Leadership
Yael Eckstein, President and Global CEO of the Fellowship, emphasized that the flags are meant as a spiritual declaration of friendship, not a political statement. “When a church plants an Israeli flag, it is making a declaration of friendship, remembrance, and faithfulness to those who are hurting,” she said.
Eckstein added that the movement began in 2024 with just 220 participating groups and grew to more than 1,300 last year, illustrating the rapid rise of Christian‑Jewish solidarity.
Humanitarian Support
Since the Oct. 7 attacks, the Fellowship has pledged $432 million in aid to Israel, covering emergency food, water, equipment for first responders, support for olim making aliyah, and assistance to vulnerable populations affected by the ongoing conflict.
The organization invites churches and other faith groups to join the 2027 campaign. More information is available at www.ifcj.org/FOF.
