A Cincinnati man, Antonio Green, has been arrested following a comprehensive drug investigation in Butler County. Authorities have charged Green, 37, with multiple counts of trafficking and possession of fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid.
Details of the Investigation
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office announced the charges against Green on Friday. The investigation led to the seizure of over 150 grams of fentanyl mixed with xylazine and other synthetic narcotics. This quantity is believed to represent approximately 75,000 potentially lethal doses of fentanyl.
In addition to the drugs, officers discovered a loaded firearm, a hydraulic kilogram press, digital scales, multiple blenders, baggies, and other equipment commonly associated with the processing and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Alleged Cartel Connections
Authorities allege that Green was involved in a drug trafficking organization with ties to the notorious Sinaloa Cartel. Another individual associated with Green has already been sentenced to prison for their involvement in the operation.
Community Impact and Law Enforcement Response
Sheriff Richard Jones emphasized the community’s zero-tolerance stance on drug trafficking. “It’s bad enough when we have local drug dealers poisoning our communities, but when someone comes into Butler County from out of town thinking they’re going to set up shop and make money off addiction, they’ve got another thing coming,” Jones stated. “They’re about to find out we don’t tolerate that here. Don’t try that in a small town—especially Butler County.”
This case highlights the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat the spread of dangerous drugs and protect the community from the devastating effects of addiction.
