Texarkana, Texas – Main Street Texarkana is calling residents to gather downtown for the annual 2026 Oktoberfest on Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and the evening promises a blend of German‑inspired food, craft beer, live music and a host of family‑friendly attractions.
Local brews and food vendors
Craft‑beer enthusiasts can sample specialty brews from regional producers including Four States Fermenters, Lost Forty Brewery and Southern Tail Brewing. Local establishments such as The Eagle, Fat Jack’s and The Hideout will also pour select beers throughout the night.
Bier Olympics competition
For those who enjoy a little friendly rivalry, the Bier Olympics will begin at 6 p.m. Two‑person teams compete in the Weenie Toss, Stein Racing and the Great Cornholio. Registration costs $50 per team, with all proceeds supporting Main Street Texarkana. The winning duo receives a $300 prize. Teams may sign up at mainstreettexarkana.org or through Ticket Leap.
Family‑focused entertainment
The festival includes face painting, hair braiding, an inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses and an exotic petting zoo. Zoo admission is $5 per person or $15 for a family pass. Additional attractions feature a football watch party, cornhole and beer pong.
Live music on Front Street Stage
Music will fill the streets beginning at 5 p.m. with Jase and Heather Linn opening the stage. At 6:40 p.m., TexRep presents a German Variety Show, and the evening concludes with a performance by Common Ground at 8 p.m.

“Oktoberfest wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors,” said Ina McDowell, executive director of Main Street Texarkana. “We have an amazing group of community supporters who came through for us this year such as our Presenting Sponsor, Commercial National Bank.” Additional sponsors include First Southern Bank, TexAR, TDS Crane, Ron Hoover RV, Black Diamond Construction, Total Medical Supply, Ledwell Machinery, Paul’s Pawn and Gun, Rogers Equipment, Kelley Morgan Foundation and Lost Pizza Company.
