Calendar Party Fundraiser – Soroptimist International

Saturday, Sept. 19 – Doors open at 11 a.m.; catered lunch begins at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include access to a basket raffle, cash salad and a 50/50 drawing. Proceeds support Soroptimist Dream Programs that help women and girls gain education, training and economic empowerment. 2026 Brownsville Area Praise Fest

Saturday, Sept. 19, 1–6 p.m. – The event will be held at the Cast Iron Amphitheater, with the rain‑plan location at the Brownsville Sons of Italy. Local singers, choirs, praise bands, pastors, a youth‑group speaker, a dance ministry and a flag ministry will share worship and fellowship.

Masontown Community Kitchen – Free Meal

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 4–5:30 p.m. – Volunteers will serve chicken salad sandwiches, parsley potatoes and mixed vegetables, with homemade desserts and donated bread from Panera. The meal is free; donations are welcomed for future meals. The kitchen is located in the First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. Hopwood Garden Club Meet‑up

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 11 a.m. – Members will gather at Eat’n Park. Anyone interested in joining the garden club is welcome.

Loads of Love – Laundry Assistance

Last Sunday of the month, 1–4 p.m. – Pleasant View Presbyterian Church (533 Royal Road, Smock) will sponsor “Loads of Love” at the Mod Laundromat (503 Union St., Brownsville, across from DQ). Residents needing help with laundry costs are invited to use the service.

Osteoporosis Support Group

Wednesday, Sept. 30, 4 p.m. – Soroptimist of Fayette County will host a support meeting at Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown. Dr. John Sunyecz will present on osteoporosis prevention and treatment. The session is open to those living with osteoporosis, caregivers and anyone interested in bone health.

Arts Program – Crafty Conversations

Second Wednesday of each month, 6–7 p.m. – Mon Valley Academy for the Arts invites teens to join free Crafty Conversations sessions at the Peter J. Daley Cultural Center, 119 Brownsville Ave., Brownsville. Contact the academy at 724‑561‑5616 or [email protected] for details.

Uniontown Amateur Radio Club Meetings

Malden Christian Fellowship Women’s Meeting
