Johnson County Commissioners Welcome New Administrative Assistant Kristal Leduc

At the Tuesday regular meeting of the Johnson County Commission, Chairman Bill Novotny introduced the commission’s new administrative assistant, Kristal Leduc, to the public. Leduc, who has lived in Johnson County since 2018, stepped forward to give a brief personal introduction.

Background and Experience

Kristal Leduc comes to the commission from Verity Group CPA, where she worked as a bookkeeper. Prior to that, she served in the fairgrounds and spent time in Campbell County working in the admissions office and business office of the local college. Her experience in both public‑sector administration and private‑sector accounting positions her well to support the commission’s day‑to‑day operations.

Family Life

Leduc highlighted her role as a mother, noting she has a ten‑year‑old child in fifth grade and a four‑year‑old who attends preschool. She expressed enthusiasm for serving the community while balancing family responsibilities.

Commission’s Outlook

Chairman Novotny praised Leduc’s qualifications and welcomed her to the team, emphasizing the importance of a capable administrative staff in ensuring the commission runs efficiently for Johnson County residents. The commission looks forward to Leduc’s contributions as they continue to address local issues ranging from infrastructure projects to public safety initiatives.

The introduction marks a routine yet important staffing update for the county government, reflecting its ongoing commitment to professional administration and community service.
