Capgemini Aims for AI Consulting Growth with New Targets

Capgemini, a leading French IT group, has announced new medium-term targets as it seeks to expand its role in AI consulting across various industries. The company is aiming for an average yearly revenue growth of 5.5% to 7.5% between 2025 and 2028, alongside a cumulative organic free cash flow exceeding €6 billion from 2026 to 2028. Additionally, Capgemini plans to increase its operating profit before acquisition costs to between 12.1% and 12.3% of revenue by 2028.

AI Integration in Legacy Systems

Capgemini’s strategy involves integrating AI into the operations of large legacy companies, leveraging its WNS unit’s expertise. CEO Aiman Ezzat emphasized the company’s deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, positioning Capgemini as a key player in the AI consulting arena. This approach highlights the importance of tailoring AI solutions to the unique needs of each industry, rather than relying on generic, off-the-shelf tools.

In the competitive field of enterprise AI adoption, Capgemini faces rivals such as Mistral, which targets industrial clients in aerospace and automotive sectors with physics-capable AI, and Publicis, which has expanded into AI development and IT consulting, directly competing with Capgemini and Accenture.

As businesses increasingly recognize the value of AI in optimizing their operations, Capgemini’s focus on industry-specific solutions aims to meet the growing demand for customized AI applications. This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to helping businesses harness the full potential of AI technologies.
