Wickiup Station Apartments in La Pine Opens Applications for Affordable Housing

Residents of La Pine, Oregon, can look forward to a new opportunity for affordable housing as applications for the Wickiup Station Apartments open on May 28, 2026. This development, located in the Wickiup Junction area, marks a significant milestone for the community, providing much-needed housing options for individuals and families.

Affordable Housing Options

The Wickiup Station Apartments will offer 39 units, including one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. These units are designed to support residents making below 60% of the Area Median Income. Notably, ten of these units will be reserved specifically for veterans, reflecting a commitment to supporting those who have served our country. Rent prices will range from approximately $643 to $1,783, with all utilities included, making it an accessible option for many families.

Community Support and Services

Cascade Management will oversee the leasing and property management of Wickiup Station Apartments. Prospective residents can attend a community lease-up event on May 28 at the American Legion in La Pine, where representatives will be available to assist with the application process and answer any questions.

In addition to housing, residents will have access to a variety of supportive programs through Embrace Resident Services, a nonprofit organization that offers individualized, no-cost services. These programs include after-school activities for children, financial literacy and employment workshops, health and wellness programming, and veterans services, among others. The aim is to foster a safe and supportive community environment.

Amenities and Lifestyle

The property will feature secured entries, a large community room, a game room, a state-of-the-art gym, and two common decks offering mountain views. Outdoor amenities include a playground, raised bed gardens, and natural areas designed to promote well-being and community connection.

Applications will be available both in person and online starting May 28, 2026. This initiative represents a significant step forward in addressing the housing needs of La Pine’s residents, particularly for families and veterans seeking affordable living options.
