Fox Nation’s ‘Gotti’s Guy’ Explores the Life of Infamous Mob Boss John Gotti

John Gotti, the notorious Gambino family crime boss, once seemed untouchable in New York’s Mafia world. Known as the ‘Teflon Don’ for his ability to evade convictions, Gotti’s reign stretched from the 1980s into the 1990s. Now, Fox Nation’s special, ‘Gotti’s Guy,’ provides an insider’s perspective on Gotti’s life through the eyes of his right-hand man, Lewis Kasman.

Inside the Gambino Crime Family

Kasman, who considered himself Gotti’s ‘adopted son,’ shares his experiences with Fox News senior correspondent Eric Shawn. He reflects on the power and prestige of having Gotti’s ear and recounts key moments, such as the 1990 trial where Gotti was acquitted of ordering the shooting of a union official. This trial marked the beginning of Gotti’s ‘Teflon Don’ reputation.

Gotti’s criminal activities included orchestrating the murder of Paul Castellano in 1985 to take control of the Gambino family. Despite facing numerous charges, including murder and racketeering, Gotti managed to avoid conviction until 1992. His downfall came with the cooperation of former underboss Sammy ‘The Bull’ Gravano, leading to Gotti’s life sentence without parole. He died in prison in 2002.

Kasman’s Reflections

Despite the violence surrounding Gotti, Kasman expresses no moral conflict over his relationship with the mob boss. He acknowledges Gotti’s actions but claims he never feared him, stating, ‘I knew who he was, and I knew what he was capable of, but I wasn’t in fear of him.’

‘Gotti’s Guy’ will be available for streaming on Fox Nation starting June 2, offering viewers a detailed look at the life of one of America’s most infamous mob bosses.
