Wake Preparatory Academy in North Carolina sent students home early on Friday morning due to air conditioning problems. The school announced the early dismissal on its Facebook page, stating that students from the Upper School were sent home starting at 10:20 a.m., followed by Lower School students at 11 a.m.
The school said its team is actively addressing the issue but the campus cooldown process is taking longer than normal. Students who ride buses were transported to their regular bus stops at the earlier dismissal times.
