National Geographic has released the trailer for its upcoming documentary series, ‘9/11 Reunited’, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The three-part series tells the stories of 9/11 survivors, first responders, and witnesses who reunite with the strangers, rescuers, and everyday heroes who changed and saved their lives on that day.
Commemorating 9/11
The documentary series is part of Disney Entertainment Television’s multiplatform commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. ‘Through the storytelling power of our platforms, we will mark this solemn anniversary with programming that honors the victims and their families and helps ensure that the stories of courage, compassion, and resilience that emerged from September 11 endure for future generations,’ said Disney Entertainment Television Chairman Debra OConnell.
The series premieres on August 21 on National Geographic and will be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu the next day. Additionally, ABC News will air a primetime special on September 1, exploring how sports, music, media, Broadway, and comedy helped the country begin to heal in the aftermath of the attacks.
