New York City FC forward Arnau Farnos underwent surgery to repair a fractured lower left leg and ankle, the team announced Wednesday.
The 23-year-old Spaniard signed a first-team contract with NYCFC on April 24 and appeared in 11 matches, scoring his first goal in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Farnos was a third-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Oregon State.
He is expected to begin rehabilitation immediately, according to the team.
