The Casper City Council is set to vote on a proposal to annex a local church’s columbarium into the city’s municipal cemetery system at its meeting on Tuesday. The columbarium, currently operated by the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, would be added to the city’s cemetery system in an effort to protect the structure and bolster local cemetery capacity.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Casper City Hall, located at 200 N. David St. In addition to the columbarium annexation, the council will also consider updates to city alcohol ordinances, road work along CY Avenue and Poplar Street, and infrastructure upgrades such as water main improvements and downtown paving.
