Mauldin City Council has placed a penny sales tax referendum on the Nov. 3 ballot. The tax, if approved, would fund $19.6 million in capital revenue projects from 2027 to 2035, including road construction and improvement, as well as the design and construction of Fire Station 5.
The ordinance also includes a $4.9 million tax credit for property owners within city limits. The referendum will be submitted to the Greenville County Voter Registration and Election Board by Aug. 17.
