Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has expressed regret over signing a three-year, $102-million deal with the team in 2021. Bauer, who is currently pitching for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico in Mexico City, stated in an interview that he wishes he had never played for the Dodgers.

Bauer’s first season with the Dodgers was marked by controversy, as he was accused of sexual assault from two separate encounters with the same woman. Although charges were never filed due to a lack of evidence, the Dodgers parted ways with Bauer after the investigation.

Bauer has since played in Japan and Mexico, and had seven starts with the independent Long Island Ducks earlier this season. He insists that he is still good enough to compete at the highest level, but believes that the league will not allow him to return.
