The city of Greenville is reviewing a proposed 135-acre annexation application along Woodruff Road, which would be the largest annexation into the city since the Cherrydale area in 2024.
Annexation Details
The proposed annexation area includes approximately 87.46 acres of real property and 47.6 acres of right-of-way, with multiple commercial properties along the high-traffic retail corridor, including the 60-acre Merovan Business Center.
The city’s Planning Commission will review the annexation application and concurrent rezoning request on August 6, with a public hearing scheduled for August 24.
The proposed zoning designations for the annexed properties would be Business General District (BG), Business Heavy District (BH), and Industrial Flex District (IX).
