The Cincinnati Fire Department reported that one person has died and at least three others have been injured due to severe flooding on the city’s East Side.
Flooding Details
The flooding victim was reported to have died in the village of Fairfax, just outside of Cincinnati city limits. At least two other people were also confirmed to have been injured in Fairfax as a result of the flooding. Meanwhile, one person was confirmed to have been injured within Cincinnati itself.
Outside of Fairfax, the neighborhoods of Oakley, Hyde Park, and Madisonville also experienced severe flooding, with lighter impacts stretching over into Roselawn, Norwood, and Pleasant Ridge.
In total, Cincinnati fire officials say that they received approximately 200 emergency calls for help, with 40 civilian rescues performed. First responders from neighboring Colerain, Green and Miami Townships also reportedly assisted the Cincinnati Fire Department during the course of its various rescue operations.
