Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has dedicated a new space, the Walmart for Good Community Lounge, located inside the museum’s Creative Learning Hub. This lounge offers visitors a place to relax, make art, and spend time with family and friends.
Community Space
The lounge is free to use and is available to visitors during regular museum hours. It includes a meeting room that local organizations can reserve free of charge. Museum leaders said the space is intended to expand the traditional museum experience by giving visitors more ways to participate, express their creativity, and connect with others.
Angela Oxford with the Walmart Foundation said, “This is the living room of Crystal Bridges. We’re so honored to have the opportunity to support this space and what it means for the region.” The Walmart Foundation helped support the lounge as part of its broader effort to strengthen communities by creating opportunities for people to come together.
