Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) crews conducted a swift water rescue on Wednesday afternoon, rescuing one person from a flood channel. The rescue occurred at the intersection of Carlisle Blvd NE and I-40 eastbound off-ramp.
According to officials, the first arriving AFR unit on scene reported a single victim being removed from the flood channel by bystanders. The patient was medically evaluated and then transported to a local hospital.
