A special traveling exhibit with displays and video about the American Revolution is at the main Santa Barbara Library this week. The American Revolution Experience is an outreach effort to bring a more personal side to this time period in American history.
Exhibit Details
The exhibit was created by the American Battlefield Trust and the Santa Barbara Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are serving as docents. It’s located inside the library on the first floor by the large fireplace.
The exhibit helps those who are looking for more details on the people in the American Revolution including soldiers, wives, children, slaves, and representatives from different countries in the original colonies. Jane Frederick, the Santa Barbara Chapter President with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), was at the library with DAR members dressed in period outfits, interacting with the public and answering questions.
The exhibit will be on display until Friday at closing in the library.
