A man drowned on Lake Eufaula on Wednesday despite a witness’ effort to save him, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Robert Keitz, 42, was attempting to cross a ‘finger of the lake’ when he went into distress. The Checotah resident went underwater in an area that is about 8 and a half feet deep, according to the OHP report.
