A mixed-use, mixed-income development in North Lawndale has been approved by the Chicago City Council. The six-story, 59-unit apartment building, called Lawndale ReDefined, will be constructed at 3400-3436 W. Ogden Ave.
Development Details
The building will include retail spaces and a 72-space bike parking room. Forty-eight of the 59 apartments will be earmarked as affordable in accordance with the city’s Affordable Requirements Ordinance.
A public plaza and playground will be constructed for community residents. The development site is near the Central Park Pink Line station and Ogden Avenue bus corridor, allowing for fewer parking spaces.
