Cincinnati Police are investigating a shooting at a short-term rental property in Corryville early Wednesday morning. Officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter calls near the home on Vine Street, near Shields Street, around 12:30 a.m.
Details of the Shooting
Police found multiple shell casings outside the property, indicating about 50 rounds were fired. A large party was inside the short-term rental, which was then evacuated as police looked for victims and spoke with witnesses. An adult man who was in a vehicle on Vine Street at the time of the shooting was hit in the shoulder and took himself to UC Medical Center, where he is recovering.
Police believe the majority of the shots came from the front porch area of the home, but shots were also fired in return from inside. One woman at the home was taken into custody for a concealed weapons violation, but police are still investigating if she played any role in the shooting.
