Norway’s World Cup team had to make a last-minute change in hotels due to noise complaints from the players. The team was initially staying at the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale but has now moved to a hotel closer to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, where they will face England in the semifinals.
Reason for the Change
The players requested the change due to noise and disruption from the road outside their original hotel as well as a nearby construction site. A team representative stated that the players were not getting enough rest and that the new hotel is a better fit for the team.
The team has been in the United States for six weeks and has been preparing for the biggest match in Norwegian history. The Norwegian Football Association will cover any extra charges for the hotel switch, while FIFA has agreed to pay for 50 rooms and security at the new hotel.
