Former Sen. Sherrod Brown has picked up a key endorsement in his bid to return to the United States Senate. Brown, a Democrat running against current Ohio Republican Sen. Jon Husted in November, secured an endorsement from the Ohio Conference of Teamsters.
Endorsement Details
The Ohio Conference of Teamsters, one of North America’s largest labor unions, represents workers in several different industries, including logistics, transportation, and healthcare. Brown said, “I am proud to have earned the endorsement of the Ohio Conference of Teamsters. The Teamsters have taught me so much about what it means to fight for hardworking Ohioans.”
The endorsement comes as the race between Brown and Husted intensifies as the march toward November continues. Recent polling shows the race back and forth between the two candidates, with some favoring Brown and others favoring Husted. Election day is on Nov. 3.
