A playful puppy with a love for the water is hoping her appearance on a local segment will help her find a forever family. Martha, a 6-month-old Jack Russell mix, is available for adoption through the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana.
About Martha
At about 30 pounds, shelter staff say she likely won’t get much bigger, though she may fill out as she gets older. Despite spending several months at the shelter, Martha has yet to be adopted. Her brother found a home quickly, but Martha continues to wait for the right family.
Humane Society representative Katie Maranto said Martha has a gentle temperament and gets along well with children and other dogs. She also enjoys playing in the water, making her a great companion for families who enjoy outdoor activities, including trips to the lake.
