Willamette Legacy Law, a community-driven law firm in Salem, has received the 2026 New Business of the Year award from the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. The firm, founded by attorney Stephanie M. Palmblad, specializes in legacy law and estate planning, helping clients to write wills and trusts, designate who may make financial and medical decisions for them, and navigate the period after a death.
Community Involvement
Palmblad said getting involved in the community is part of the law firm’s mission. To that end, the firm has sponsored organizations such as the Gilbert House Children’s Museum and Children’s Educational Theater. Palmblad also participated in the Chamber’s Leadership Salem program, which helped create a basis for networking that focuses on direct engagement and relationship-building.
Paralegal Bobbi Johnson said that she’s been working in law firms for over 20 years, but joining Willamette Legacy was the first time she saw what goes into growing a business. Johnson said she has seen the firm’s clientele grow significantly and the staff increase from three to 10 in just two and a half years.
