The Casper/Natrona County International Airport is hosting a one-of-a-kind Run the Runway 5K event on July 11. This fun run and walk is open to everyone, from casual runners to serious athletes, and will take place on the airport’s 10,165-foot runway.

Registration for the event is now open and will close on July 3. The cost to participate is $15, and children under five can attend for free. The event will feature airport fire trucks, community booths, snacks, and beverages.

The Run the Runway 5K is a unique opportunity for participants to experience the airport from a new perspective while supporting a good cause. Proceeds from the event will go to the Fly Casper Alliance Scholarship Fund, which supports Casper College Flight School students.

Participants are asked to park in a separate lot from the main airport parking area. A parking map is available on the event website. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those interested in supporting the event.
