Tulsa kicked off Independence Day in a big way this year with the annual Folds of Honor FreedomFest, a beloved community celebration that drew crowds together for an evening of patriotic festivities and fireworks.

Organizers announced that the fireworks display was set to launch as early as 8:30 p.m., giving families and attendees plenty to look forward to as the sun went down over the city. FreedomFest is organized by Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
