CASPER, Wyo. — As the Aug. 18 primary election approaches, candidate Qwenton Eagle Oviatt is sharing his vision for the role of Wyoming secretary of state. In a recent questionnaire, Oviatt addressed the most crucial challenges his constituents are facing, including low voter turnout and outdated election processes.

Oviatt stated that if elected, he will push for an election cleanup bill to make voting easier while ensuring strong security. He also plans to implement top-tier screening software and a small enforcement team to stop fraud using commercial registered agents. Additionally, Oviatt will work closely with county clerks to provide them with the training and uniformity they have requested.
Oviatt’s diverse real-world experience, including working in Wyoming’s oil fields and serving as an academic advisor at Central Wyoming College, has prepared him to meet these challenges. As a certified mediator, he has learned how to bring people together to solve problems.
