WLKY meteorologist Eric Zernich’s Sunday night forecast indicates that daily isolated afternoon storm chances will continue in the Ohio Valley. The region was able to dodge the rain for most of the weekend, with temperatures not being overly hot. However, there were a few stray showers, which are expected to end as the night progresses.
Temperatures and Storm Chances
The upcoming work week is expected to have more seasonable temperatures, with highs in the 80s for many days. Thursday may see a high close to 90, but the rest of the week will be in the 80s. The humidity will also start to come down a little bit. There will be a chance for isolated storms each day, but no day is expected to be a washout.
A cold front is slowly moving into the area, which may bring some relief by Tuesday and Wednesday. However, Thursday may see better rain chances. The best chance for scattered showers and storms is expected on Friday, with another front moving into the area.
