A recent study by the Grigor Law Firm found that Florida has seen a significant rise in fatal road rage crashes, with the state experiencing the second-largest year-over-year increase from 2023 to 2024.
Road Rage on the Rise
Drivers in Florida are facing a growing issue with aggressive driving, and many are expressing concerns about the prevalence of road rage on the state’s roads. With over 61 million Americans choosing to drive this July Fourth, according to AAA, the risk of accidents and road rage incidents is heightened.
Some drivers at a rest stop along I-4 shared their thoughts on the issue, with one saying, “If you leave space, you never really have to be panicked.” Another driver noted, “People are in a rush to go nowhere, you know? You’ve just got to slow down.”
AAA reports that Florida ranks as the 10th most dangerous state for aggressive driving, factoring in speeding and crashes tied to speeding. The organization is urging drivers to slow down and follow the rules of the road to minimize the risk of accidents.
