Travelers at the Albuquerque International Sunport reported a hassle-free experience over the holiday weekend. For New Mexico residents Jane and Todd Pilger, their trip from Albuquerque to Las Vegas and back was a breeze.
The Pilgers, who are frequent flyers, recently returned from their annual trip to Vegas, where they celebrate their birthdays and the holiday with friends. "We have two other couples that we meet there that also celebrate their birthdays in early July, so we do the holiday plus birthday celebrations, a long-standing tradition," Jane said.
According to the Pilgers, there were no issues with their flights, and they were impressed with the improvements at the Sunport. "We were telling our friends that the renovation at the Sunport is amazing," Jane said. "When we were flying to Vegas, we got here early enough to eat lunch at the airport, and there was live music, and just the vibe, the way they’ve done the local vendors, and everything is really, really nice."
