A 36-year-old woman, Erica Giordano, was found dead inside a vehicle in a Tampa McDonald’s parking lot on July 5, 2026. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the manager of the McDonald’s located at 2205 East Fletcher Avenue.
Responding deputies found a black Volkswagen Tiguan parked on the north side of the restaurant’s lot, with Giordano unresponsive inside. She had been reported missing and was last seen by her family on July 2, 2026. Detectives noted that a preliminary examination of the body revealed no obvious signs of trauma or injury.
The investigation remains active, and officials have not released a potential cause of death. The sheriff’s office is working to determine the circumstances surrounding Giordano’s death.
