Celebrities Who Worked at Red Lobster

Before becoming famous, several celebrities worked at Red Lobster, one of America’s biggest chain restaurants. Nicki Minaj, the record-setting female rapper, worked as a waitress at Red Lobster prior to making it big. During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” she spoke about her time working at Red Lobster, saying she probably waited on people in the audience.

Minaj went on to find success with her debut album, “Pink Friday,” which featured one of her biggest songs of all time, “Super Bass.” This led to record-breaking success, as she became the best-selling female rapper of all time, selling over 100 million records worldwide.

Other Celebrities Who Worked at Red Lobster

Anna Nicole Smith, a model and actress, also worked at Red Lobster as a young mom. She worked at the restaurant to support herself and her son, Daniel, before quitting to work as an exotic dancer. Chris Rock, the actor and comedian, spent his teenage years working at Red Lobster in New York. He spoke about his time working at the restaurant during his 2008 HBO comedy special, “Kill the Messenger,” saying he used to scrape shrimp into the garbage can and load up the dishwasher.

Jonathan Majors, a Marvel actor, opened up about his experience working at Red Lobster when he was a teenager. He worked at the restaurant to support himself while he was homeless. Jamie Kennedy, an actor, loved his time working at Red Lobster, which was his first job. He started working at the chain restaurant because his mom thought it would be good for him.
