Teen Swimmer Missing At Jordan Lake

A teenager who was on a boat outing with family encountered trouble around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the waters of Jordan Lake while swimming from the boat. An extensive search for the teen began shortly after.

Deputies in Chatham County said the search for the swimmer who went missing will resume in the morning. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, North Chatham Fire Department, Chatham County Emergency Management, North Carolina State parks, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, and Alamance County Rescue will participate in the search.
